French camp junior 12 – 17 Antibes

Located on the South-East French coast between Nice and Cannes, Antibes is renowned for its elegance, its sandy beaches and fashionable shops. With 300 days of sunshine, this is the perfect place for a teenager to spend a language study holiday either at Easter time or during the summer holidays. Antibes is a safe town with plenty to do.

Our all-inclusive programme is specially designed for students between 12 and 17 years old. It includes full board accommodation on campus or with a host family, with activities and excursions, security, supervision and airport transfers. You can choose from either a standard 20 lessons per week or an optional intensive course with 6 additional afternoon lessons per week. 

Our partner school in Antibes has over 30 years of experience and its quality is recognised by European EAQUALS accreditation and the French Ministry of Education Quality FLE label. All the teachers are native speaker and qualified in teaching french as a foreign language. 

Each year, our school welcomes students from about 50 nationalities.

Off peak season: Lessons take place in a traditional southern French provincial building, surrounded by gardens with free wifi and a self-service restaurant with an open-air terrace.

During summer: Student’s courses are on a modern campus in a quiet area, surronded by a large garden with outdoor sports grounds and a mobile swimming pool. A shuttle bus is provided from the campus to the beach and to the center of Antibes. 

This programme is specifically designed to improve your French level thanks to didactic activities including written and oral practice with a special focus on oral work. 20% to 30% of the course is focused on grammar.

You will attend 20 lessons per week with a class of 13-17 years old students with the same level.

Classes take place Monday to Friday, 9:00 am – 12:00 pm.

The first day of class, you will complete a written and oral french test, so you will be in a specific group for your level. You will receive a certificate at the end of your course.

Option: You can follow an extra 6 lessons (x45min) focus on conversation,  from 1.45 pm to 4.00 pm (twice a week) for an extra coast of €70.  (8 students maximum in a class)

Afternoon & Evenings: 

When lessons are over the French group leaders organise various activities such as: sport tournaments, fun games, themed events, quizzes and sailing or paddle boarding. The programme includes one half-day excursion to Cannes or to The Lerins Islands and one full-day excursion to places like Nice or Monaco at the weekend. 

Evening activities include beach parties, discos and cinema. 

The rest of your time is free to enjoy the sights, do some shopping or just relax with your friends. A shuttle service is available if students wish to go to the beach or to the city centre. 

Students are under supervision 24/7, except during the periods that they have permission from their parents to go out.

Staff are always on hand to answer any questions, organise games, join in during the meals and overall being available to assist the students at all times.

When you arrive, you will receive a welcome pack including a weekly programme of activities.

Sample of activity programme (subject to change):  

• After each excursion students have some free time to enjoy the place by themselves.• Each activity is supervised by a qualified professional.

• Extra activities can be arranged directly when you are at the school e.g. banana boat, paintball, Snorkeling.  These extra activities have a separate charge of between €5 and €30

Note : Students staying with host families will spend evenings with their host family except for the barbecue evening on Monday and Friday evening on campus.

You have the choice to stay with a local host family or on the campus.

Host family: Through living with a family, you will be fully immersed in the country’s lifestyle and culture. Our local host families are vetted and chosen rigorously by our language school partner. Most of them have been hosting for years. The location of their homes is no further than 20 minutes on foot or by bus from the school.

Full board is provided with your accommodation. You will have breakfast and dinner with your host family as well as lunch on the weekends and lunch at the school restaurant during the weekdays.

Room on campus: Students can stay on campus in a modern residence. The rooms are spacious and bright with either a private bathroom or a shared bathroom located on each floor. They are suitable for 2, 3 or 4 students. The campus includes accommodation, classrooms, restaurant, snack bar, swimming pool, sports fields and WIFI area. 

Accommodation is from the Sunday prior to the course start date until the Saturday after the end of the course (you can book extra-nights).

SECURITY 24/7 AND SUPERVISION

• Students are supervised by the school monitors who are on the premises round the clock and ready to help and give information.
• Security 24/7.

• 12-17 years old students are automatically allowed to go out
unaccompanied from the end of the courses until 7.30pm.

16-17 years old students with the signed parental permission form to go out as follows:

8.30 pm – 10 pm Monday – Thursday
8.30 pm – 01 am Friday, Saturday and day prior bank holiday

Our prices do not include transport from Ireland. Once you have received confirmation of your stay, you will be able to purchase your ticket and provide us with your travel information.
